The combination of the high torque density and compact design means the gear unit can be used in applications where space is tight. To also achieve a high thermal limit rating, there is the option of an integrated fan in the motor interface.
The fan aspirates air radially, accelerates it, and generates a cooling stream of air with a high flow rate. Besides its high power density, the P2.e series therefore also has a "best-in-class" thermal limit rating.
The direct mounting of DR.. AC motors from SEW-EURODRIVE means there is no need for the motor adapter flange that is otherwise normally required, so this is a particularly space-saving design. The combinable motors offer finely graduated performance classes and a wide variety of options. Furthermore, the DR.. modular motor system meets all the required energy efficiency classes and country-specific regulations. A motor adapter for attaching IEC motors is also available as an option.
