Automatically recorded information (non-personal data)

When you access our websites, we may automatically (i.e. without a registration process) record general non-personal information (e.g. type of Internet browser and operating system used, date and time of your visit, domain name of the website from which you accessed our site, number of visits, average time spent on the site, pages viewed).

Data is collected and saved on these websites for marketing and optimization purposes using technology from etracker GmbH. User profiles can be created under a pseudonym using this data. Cookies can be used for this purpose. Cookies are small text files that are stored locally in the clipboard of your Internet browser when you visit a website. Cookies enable a site to recognize the Internet browser again. Data collected using etracker technologies will not be used to personally identify visitors to this website and will not be combined with the personal data of the anonymous profile without the express permission of the respective individual.

3. Creating usage statistics via etracker and session recording and heat mapping with Microsoft Clarity

Services provided by etracker GmbH from Hamburg, Germany (www.etracker.com) are used to analyze usage data on this website. Cookies are generally used to enable the statistical analysis of the use of this website by visitors and to display content or advertising based on specific usage. etracker cookies do not contain any information that enables the identification of a user. In addition, we can also use etracker variants without cookies, in which we carry out the data processing described here to a lesser extent.

The data created by doing so is processed by etracker on our behalf. The data is processed exclusively in Germany in accordance with our specifications and is thus subject to strict German and European data protection legislation and standards. etracker does not carry out data processing for its own purposes. With regard to compliance with EU data protection standards, etracker has been independently audited, certified and awarded the ePrivacyseal data privacy seal.

The data is processed based on the legal provisions of Art. 6 (1) Clause 1 (f) GDPR and Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG. Our interest within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is the analysis of the use of our website and the compilation of statistics on website usage to ensure the regular optimization of our online platform and website so that the website can be made more interesting for you as a user. Since the privacy of our visitors is important to us, data that may allow a reference to an individual person, such as IP addresses, login credentials or device IDs, are pseudonymized or anonymized at the earliest possible stage. The data is not processed in any other way, combined with any other data by etracker or passed on to third parties.

To enhance the etracker usage statistics, we also use the session recording and heat mapping tool Microsoft Clarity. The following data is processed:

  • Scroll depth
  • Changes to the window size
  • Selection functions
  • Keystrokes
  • Time spent
  • Device type
  • Browser
  • Operating system
  • Location (country)
  • Origin (referrer)
  • Session/user ID

For this purpose, a cookie is set on the end device of the user/visitor. SEW EURODRIVE cannot establish a link to a specific person. The cookies are deleted after 30 days, and favorites are deleted after 13 months.

You can object to the data processing described here at any time insofar as data is processed in relation to specific persons in our consent management tool.

4. Tracking users in Online Support with etracker

We also use etracker to analyze the usage of our Online Support portal and to continually improve your customer experience and make it more interesting for you.

We do not process your name and IP address for these analyses.

If you are not logged in as a customer, we are not able to identify you using the data and information listed below. We place a cookie on your computer (browser) and allocate a random session ID. The following information is recorded in this cookie:

  • Screen size
  • Screen resolution
  • Type of device
  • Operating system and version
  • Browser
  • Information as to whether cookies are activated in the browser
  • Geo data (continent, country, region, city)
  • Timestamp (date, time of login)
  • "Click data" (individual applications accessed)
  • Search queries
  • "Canceled shopping carts" (product placed in the shopping cart but not ordered)
  • Bandwidth and Internet provider

We do this in order to be able to analyze whether and how users not logged in as customers use our Online Support offering.

If you are logged into our Online Support as a customer, in order to optimize the Online Support platform and improve your customer experience when using our platform, in addition to the aforementioned information, we also analyze the following data – only internally at SEW-EURODRIVE and without recording your name or your IP address:

  • Your role at the company
  • Registration date
  • Name of company, entity, account number
  • Type of company
  • Order designation
  • Net price entitlement
  • Sales organization

The information recorded and analyzed is only hosted by etracker on servers in Germany provided it is needed for the analysis and optimization of Online Support and only for as long as it is needed for this purpose. It is stored and processed for 5 years at the most.

The legal basis for the capture and creation of these analyses is Article 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR, § 25(2)(2) Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). If you do not want any analyses performed during use of the Online Support via your end device, object to tracking in our consent management tool.

Right to revoke permission

Permission for the collection and storage of your data can be revoked at any time with respect to subsequent services. You can revoke permission for the collection, processing and use of your personal data at any time with respect to subsequent services. In this case, please contact us via the address specified in our imprint or via info@imhof-sew.ch. Personal data is deleted if you revoke permission for its storage, if your personal data is no longer required for the purpose for which it was originally stored, or if storage is no longer permissible for other legal reasons. This does not affect data required for billing and accounting purposes, or that has to be stored for legal reasons.

Alfred Imhof AG implements technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data against unintentional or unlawful deletion, alteration or loss as well as unauthorized disclosure or access.
